You might notice your skin feels tight and uncomfortable, especially after cleansing, almost like it's shrinking. Flakiness, particularly around the nose, mouth, and forehead (or even cheeks, as some of you might be searching for!), becomes a constant battle. That persistent itchiness? It's not just annoying; it's your barrier crying for help. Products that once felt fine might now sting or burn upon application, indicating increased sensitivity. And yes, even unexplained acne can be a symptom! When your barrier is weak, it can't keep out irritants and bacteria as effectively, leading to more breakouts.
