Soo my daily morning routine:

#lemon8diarychallenge

Soooo sometimes I’m not a morning person but I have to be 😭(only cause of school)

But I get up in the morning at 8:00

I brush my teeth and wash my face

Stretch out my body and put on some music to get my day started, after that I put on my scrubs for school 💙 and I try to leave the house at or around 8:30 because I like to stop and get breakfast. 🙃

I get my breakfast around 8:45 and I pull into my campus and eat for the remaining time that I have. I finish and go to class at 9:00

... Read moreOkay, so we've all been there – the alarm goes off, and all you want to do is hit snooze for another hour (or five!). As a student, I totally get that sometimes being a morning person feels impossible, especially when school commitments mean early starts. My morning routine might seem simple, but it's packed with little hacks that really help me kick off my day right, even when I'm dragging. And hey, if you're a 'morning teen' looking for ways to make your school mornings smoother, keep reading! One of my biggest struggles used to be actually getting out of bed. I’ve found a few simple tricks that make a huge difference. First, I try to place my alarm clock just out of reach so I have to physically get up to turn it off. It's a small trick, but it works! Then, before I even think about checking my phone, I make sure to open my curtains right away. Natural light is a game-changer for signaling to your body that it's time to wake up. On days when I feel extra groggy, a quick splash of cold water on my face after brushing my teeth and washing up does wonders. Seriously, it’s like an instant wake-up call! After my basic hygiene, I always dedicate a few minutes to stretching. Nothing fancy, just some arm circles, leg stretches, and a few neck rolls to get the blood flowing. It helps shake off that sleepy feeling and energizes my body for the day ahead. This is also when I put on my morning playlist – upbeat tunes really set a positive vibe. It's amazing how much music can influence your mood and mentally prepare you for a busy day! Then it's time to get ready for school. For me, that often means slipping into my blue scrubs. Even though it's a uniform, I still like to feel put-together. Sometimes, I'll even snap a quick mirror selfie to check my outfit or just capture the moment before I head out. It's a fun way to document my day and feel confident, even on early mornings. I also pay a little attention to my hair – if I've got my braided hair looking neat, it makes a big difference to my overall confidence for the school routine. A quick check in the mirror, and I'm ready to face the world! My routine is timed pretty tightly because I love stopping for breakfast. I've learned that a good breakfast is non-negotiable for focusing in class. If you're also rushing, consider prepping something the night before, like overnight oats, pre-cut fruit for a quick smoothie, or even just setting out a granola bar and fruit. Or, like me, find a quick and easy stop near campus. It's all about finding what works for your schedule to ensure you fuel your brain. Leaving the house a little earlier than strictly necessary gives me that buffer time, so I don't feel rushed and can actually enjoy my meal before diving into lectures. One final tip for a stress-free morning: prepare the night before! Lay out your clothes (like my scrubs!), pack your backpack, and even think about what you’ll have for breakfast. This reduces so many decisions in the morning chaos. Ultimately, consistency is key. Even on weekends, I try not to stray too far from my weekday wake-up time. This helps regulate my sleep cycle and makes Monday mornings less painful. Remember, it's okay if your routine isn't perfect every single day. The goal is to create a structure that supports you and helps you feel prepared and positive for whatever the day throws your way. What are your must-do morning hacks?
