Tucked away in Aichi Prefecture, this immersive park brings beloved films like My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, and Howl’s Moving Castle to life with themed areas, stunning architecture, and hidden details straight out of the Ghibli universe.

Here’s a breakdown of what to expect—and how to plan your visit!

— Park • Areas —

🏭 Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse – The most expansive zone, with film exhibits, life-sized sets, and exclusive merch. This area is also indoors and perfect for rainy days.

🌲 Dondoko Forest – Features Satsuki and Mei’s house from My Neighbor Totoro, nestled in peaceful nature trails.

🐗 Mononoke Village – Based on Princess Mononoke, featuring hands-on experiences and giant sculptures.

🧹 Valley of Witches (NEW in 2024!) – Inspired by Howl’s Moving Castle and Kiki’s Delivery Service, with a life sized replica of Howl’s castle, the Merry-go-round of life, and themed food stalls.

— Ticket • Tips —

① Book early! Tickets go on sale monthly and sell out fast, especially for weekends and holidays.

② Purchase through the official Lawson Ticket site (Japanese) or look for international-friendly platforms like Klook or official travel agencies (we used Klook).

③ You must choose a specific time slot when booking for the grand warehouse, so keep that in mind when making your reservation.

— Ticket • Types —

1️⃣ Standard Ticket: Grants access to general admission to all areas, but does not grant access into buildings outside of the grand warehouse.

2️⃣ Premium Ticket: Includes all the areas, plus bonus content like exclusive room access and premium exhibitions inside Howl’s Castle, Satsuki and Mei’s house, and more. Worth it if you’re a hardcore fan or want the full experience.

— Tips • Before • You • Go —

❶ Wear comfy shoes—there’s lots of walking and forest paths.

❷ Bring a portable charger for all the photos you’ll be taking!

❸ Most signs are in Japanese, but there are English maps and friendly staff.

❹ This park isn’t about thrill rides—it’s about feeling like you’ve stepped into a Ghibli film. There a few small rides but they are not the highlight of the park.
