I tried CLEAR PROTEIN so you don’t have to
Coming from a picky eater…
Clear protein is a water-soluble protein that's made from whey, collagen, or vegan sources and dissolves almost clear when mixed with water.
I ordered two clear protein powders: strawberry lime mojito and lemon italian ice. I tried the strawberry lime first and it smells great! It gets really foamy when you shake it. I found when you mix it instead of shaking you don’t get as much foam.
It tastes great! It doesn’t coat your throat like regular protein. It has very little aftertaste.
20g protein
0g sugar
80 cal per scoop
I paid $98 with 100 servings so it’s about $0.98 per drink. I think that’s a great deal!

After diving into the world of clear protein with my 1UP Nutrition discovery, I realized there's so much more to explore and share about this game-changing supplement, especially for those of us who dread the thick, chalky texture of traditional protein shakes. If you've ever wondered if clear protein is truly legitimate or how to get the most out of it, you're in the right place! One of the most common questions I see, and something I definitely encountered with my Strawberry Lime Mojito and Lemon Italian Ice flavors, is about foam. Yes, as my pictures show, it can get super foamy! But don't let that deter you. My top tip, which I mentioned briefly, is to *mix, not aggressively shake*. Beyond that, try these tricks: Let it sit: After mixing, let your drink sit for 5-10 minutes. The foam often dissipates on its own. Gentle Stirring: If you must use a shaker, try shaking it gently for a short period, then switch to stirring with a spoon. Add Liquid First: Always add your water or desired liquid to the shaker before the powder. This helps it dissolve more smoothly and reduces clumping and foam. Temperature Matters: Using colder water can sometimes help reduce foam compared to room temperature. Now, about whether clear protein is 'legitimate' – this is a crucial point. With so many supplements out there, it's wise to be discerning. When I looked into 1UP Nutrition, and generally when considering any clear protein, I check for: Protein Source: Is it whey isolate (which is very pure, low in lactose) or a plant-based alternative? The article mentions 'water-soluble protein that's made from whey, collagen, or vegan sources,' which is a good sign of variety. Nutritional Transparency: Are the macros clearly listed (like the 20g protein, 0g sugar, 80 cal I found)? A reputable brand will be upfront about their ingredients and nutritional profile. Ingredient Quality: Look for minimal artificial additives if that's a concern for you. Brand Reputation: While not mentioned in the original review, 1UP NUTRITION is a known brand, and their products are widely available, which can be a good indicator. Always check reviews from multiple sources. Beyond just a basic shake, clear protein opens up a world of possibilities for refreshing high-protein drinks. Since flavors like Strawberry Lime Mojito and Lemon Italian Ice are so vibrant, you can get creative: Sparkling Protein: Mix your clear protein with sparkling water for a fizzy, refreshing beverage. It's like a healthy soda! Fruity Infusions: Blend it with actual fruit for a lighter smoothie texture. Think fresh strawberries or a squeeze of lemon juice to enhance the existing flavors. Protein Popsicles: Pour your mixed clear protein into popsicle molds for a guilt-free, cooling treat, especially great for summer. Mocktails: Use it as a base for fun, non-alcoholic protein mocktails. Imagine a 'protein mojito' with fresh mint and lime! Choosing clear protein, like the 1UP Nutrition version I tried, has been a game-changer for my healthy lifestyle. It fits perfectly into #drinkideas and supports #bodytransformation goals without feeling like a chore. The light, refreshing taste and lack of a heavy aftertaste make it incredibly easy to hit my protein targets. It even looks appealing in a clear glass, which is a nice bonus – no more opaque, unappetizing shakes! If you’re a picky eater or just looking for a more enjoyable way to boost your protein intake, I highly recommend giving clear protein a try. It could totally change your supplement routine!
