How to properly study
Hey lovelies,
Studying is super intimidating and taking one step at a time and learning how can really help you learn to manage it.
🧡 try and re-answering clicker, questions or questions that are asking class. Taking pictures of the answers and then using it as a study guide to know why you got it right or wrong is increasing your understanding of the subject.
🧡 your notes on blank pieces of paper is important to help you know what important key concepts to study and or look at. Making sure to do different subjects and how those subjects interconnect is also key to boosting your understanding of the class class as a whole
🧡 my professors tend to post the slides and talk about them so jotting down notes that they say in class versus copying down the slides is better. I tend to find that a lot of the material that they talked about was covered in the extra part of the lecture that was not on the slides
🧡 understanding where you went wrong last time is important, especially in stem classes or financial math base classes. Knowing how to use different equations and solve it properly will help you not only on the test but in real life if that’s your actual job.
🧡 take it one step at a time. Set up a block where you study for that amount of time and turn off your phone or put it away. It’s so hard to disconnect, but it is so important to be able to do that when you are studying.
