3x12 for everything 🩷
A solid leg day workout is essential for building strength and improving lower body endurance. In my experience, sticking to 3 sets of 12 reps for each exercise, like hip thrusts, Romanian deadlifts, leg extensions, and hamstring curls, has helped me see consistent progress without burnout. Hip thrusts are great for targeting the glutes, which are often underutilized but crucial for overall power. Romanian deadlifts focus on the hamstrings and help improve posture and balance. Leg extensions effectively isolate your quadriceps, helping to increase muscle size and definition, while hamstring curls strengthen the posterior chain, reducing injury risk. I usually start with a warm-up set using lighter weights to activate the muscles, then gradually increase resistance. Rest periods between sets of about 60 to 90 seconds help maintain intensity while allowing recovery. Remember, consistency and proper form are key. Using the 3x12 scheme helps maintain a balance between strength and hypertrophy. Adding this routine to your leg day can enhance muscle growth and motivation, making each session productive and rewarding.
