Day 1 - 75 hard challenge -
I had to create this challenge to fit my schedule. So a few things are different but the gym, water and book are good habits I want to start so that I will be following #75hardchallenge #fitness #health
Starting the 75 Hard Challenge, even a modified version like mine, can feel a bit daunting at first! I know many of you are curious about 'what is 75 Hard' and what exactly it entails. It's truly a mental toughness program designed to build discipline and new habits over 75 consecutive days. There are several non-negotiable '75 Hard rules' that make it unique, pushing you both physically and mentally. First off, you commit to two 45-minute workouts daily, one of which must be outdoors. This can be challenging, especially depending on the weather, but it’s a huge mental hurdle to overcome! I've found that planning my outdoor workout first thing in the morning sets a positive tone for the day. Then there's the '75 Hard gallon of water' requirement – yes, a full gallon every single day! I've found a time-marked bottle like the one in my kitchen photo super helpful to keep track. Hydration isn't just about feeling good, it's a constant reminder of commitment and consistency. Another key rule is sticking to a strict diet, with absolutely no cheat meals or alcohol. This is where I'm personally making tweaks to fit my lifestyle, but the core idea of mindful eating and cutting out indulgences is powerful for anyone looking to improve their health. You also need to read 10 pages of a non-fiction, self-improvement book daily. For me, that's 'NEVER FINISHED' by David Goggins – such an inspiring choice to fuel the mental aspect! This daily reading helps to keep me focused and motivated. And don't forget the '75 Hard daily tasks' include taking a progress photo every single day. While seeing 'before and after photos' is highly motivating and a common search query, the daily snap helps you track subtle changes and stay accountable. Many people also wonder about the '75 Hard chart' comparing it to '75 Soft'. The 75 Soft is a more flexible alternative, often with fewer workouts, less strict diet rules, and sometimes allowing exceptions. For instance, 75 Soft might allow a cheat meal or less rigid workout times, whereas 75 Hard is truly all or nothing, demanding unwavering adherence. My modified challenge takes some inspiration from both, focusing on consistent effort rather than absolute rigidity, especially as I integrate these habits into my busy schedule. It's about finding what works for you to build lasting change. I'm excited to share my progress and how I'm tackling each of these '75 Hard daily tasks', even with my personal adjustments. It's all about building sustainable routines that empower you. I'll be sharing more of my 'before and after photos' as I go, so you can see the journey unfold and perhaps inspire your own. Stay tuned for more updates on my fitness, health, and how I'm crushing that gallon of water!
