Things I’ve done so far 🤍
As a very type B couple, doing our best to plan ahead 😅
Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming, especially when setting a date far in advance like September 2026. From my experience, staying organized and tackling key tasks step-by-step really helps take the stress out of the process. One of the first and most important steps was booking a reputable wedding planner. Their expertise not only saved me time but also ensured that all vendors were top-notch and aligned with our vision. Choosing the venue early on gave us a concrete location to build around, which made decisions about décor and theme much easier. I highly recommend securing your photographer and content creator as soon as you book the venue, since their availability can be limited, especially for popular dates. Booking an officiant and MC concurrently helped synchronize the event’s flow and tone. Engagement shoots are a wonderful opportunity to capture the excitement before the big day and get comfortable with your photographer. Collaborating with a florist early on allowed us to fine-tune our décor vision, ensuring all elements—flowers, colors, and ambiance—complemented the chosen venue perfectly. One of the most exciting moments was saying yes to my dress, which truly made the wedding feel real and fueled my enthusiasm. Sending save-the-date cards as soon as your major details are locked in keeps guests informed and helps with their own planning. Overall, my advice for couples who, like me, tend to be more laid-back or 'type B,' is to create a flexible timeline for your wedding tasks and celebrate each milestone along the way. Staying proactive yet relaxed made the entire planning experience enjoyable rather than stressful.
