My Minimalist iPhone Layout 🌱☁️
here’s how I customize my iPhone 15 to give it a clean & minimalist look 📱
I get complimented all the time about how my phone matches the aesthetic of my setup and me as a person constantly. Here’s a peek at how I customize my iPhone 15 and how I organize my apps based on the frequency I use them. Also featuring wallpapers & app icons by cozyleigh.studios!
Apps:
• Shortcuts ( to add custom app icons to my Home Screen & remove the app name. )
• MD Blank ( this is a clear widget, paired with your wallpaper. I use this along with Smart Stack to hide my other shortcuts so they aren’t overcrowding my screen. )
• MD Clock, Dawn & Structured ( planning / organizing apps I use on the daily. )
Tips + Tricks:
• I recommend following a YouTube video or a quick TikTok tutorial on how to navigate Shortcut to follow along! It can be a little tricky at first but worth it 🙂↕️
• While my Home Screen is pretty minimal, rest assured I have plenty more apps taking up my storage 🤭 I love that iPhone has the feature to remove them from your Home Screen, but the download is still there! I love keeping my Home Screen to one page, this helps with organization & navigation!
Embracing a minimalist iPhone setup isn't just about aesthetics; it's about creating a calmer, more focused digital environment. Like many of you, I used to have a cluttered screen, but shifting to a minimalist layout on my iPhone 15 has truly organized my digital life and reduced distractions. People often ask me how I achieve such a clean look, and it's simpler than you might think! One of the biggest game-changers for me was mastering custom app icons through the Shortcuts app. This allows you to completely transform your home screen. Instead of the default icons, you can use any image you like, often found in beautiful packs from creators like cozyleigh.studios (as seen in my setup!). The trick is to create a 'Open App' shortcut for each desired app, assign your custom icon, and then add this shortcut to your home screen. Crucially, you can remove the app name underneath, contributing significantly to that super clean, minimalist vibe. It takes a little setup time, but the end result is so worth it for a personalized and aesthetic home screen. Next up are widgets. They can be a source of clutter or a minimalist's best friend. I heavily rely on MD Blank for creating clear, invisible spaces on my home screen. This app lets you place blank widgets that blend seamlessly with your wallpaper, allowing you to space out your custom app icons exactly how you want them without visual noise. Combined with Smart Stack, I can hide less frequently used shortcuts or widgets behind a single, unobtrusive stack. For functional yet minimalist widgets, MD Clock provides a sleek time display, and apps like Structured and Dawn offer clean, organized views of my daily tasks and calendar events without overwhelming the screen. I've also found that a simple calendar widget or a hidden Spotify control can fit perfectly into a minimalist layout if sized and placed thoughtfully. Beyond the home screen, don't forget your lock screen! A minimalist lock screen often features a beautiful, uncluttered wallpaper and minimal widgets, ensuring a peaceful view every time you unlock your phone. Managing your app library is also key; utilize the option to remove apps from the home screen while keeping them downloaded in the App Library. This allows you to maintain a single page for your most essential apps, enhancing navigation and organization. Choosing wallpapers and icon themes that complement each other, perhaps from the same aesthetic pack like those from cozyleigh.studios, ties the entire setup together for a cohesive and truly minimalist iPhone experience.
