Pick my next read📚🫶🏻
I am currently on the addicted series and usually I like to switch genres. I also want to start another book while in the addicted series just to have a break from such a long book. What would be your next pick !! And yes I have too big of a tbr pile but I love it
I totally get it! Being deep into an incredible series like 'Addicted' is fantastic, but sometimes your brain just craves a palette cleanser, right? That massive 'To Be Read' (TBR) pile is both a blessing and a curse – so many amazing stories, so little time to choose! If you're looking for something to switch up genres or just a quick, captivating read to give your mind a little break, I've got a few ideas based on what I've loved recently or what's constantly popping up on my radar. When I'm trying to decide what book to read next, especially when I need a break from a long series, I often look for something completely different. If you've been immersed in heavy emotional drama, maybe a lighthearted fantasy or a charming romance is the way to go. For a captivating escape, many readers adore the 'A Court of Thorns and Roses' series. While it's a series itself, the first book can often feel like a good entry point into a new, magical world without the immediate pressure of a super long commitment. If you're into something with a bit more political intrigue and fae lore, 'Wicked King' is another fantastic fantasy that often gets high praise. If contemporary fiction or romance is more your speed, you absolutely can't go wrong with Taylor Jenkins Reid. 'Malibu Rising' and 'The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo' are both phenomenal standalones that will completely engross you. They're character-driven, emotionally rich, and offer a completely different vibe from a deep, long-running series. Another hugely popular, feel-good contemporary romance is 'Red, White & Royal Blue' – it's charming, witty, and a perfect pick-me-up. For something with a unique and fun premise, 'The True Love Experiment' also sounds like an amazing choice. Sometimes, a good thriller or mystery is the perfect way to reset. Liane Moriarty's 'Apples Never Fall' is excellent if you enjoy family dramas mixed with suspense, keeping you guessing until the very end. Or if you prefer a darker, more intense mystery, 'Someone Knows' could be a gripping option to pull you out of your current reading headspace. Looking at your book stacks, I also spotted titles like 'Powerless' and 'The Fake Mate'! These often indicate popular standalone fantasy or romance reads that are perfect for a quick diving. Short, impactful novels can be incredibly refreshing when you’re used to epic lengths. Ultimately, the best 'next read' depends on your mood. Do you want to laugh, cry, be thrilled, or escape to another world entirely? Consider a shorter book or a different genre to truly cleanse your palate. I hope these suggestions help you navigate that exciting TBR pile and find the perfect book to bridge the gap before you dive back into your series! What genre are you leaning towards for your break?
