A homewrecker for hire 💰💍🎬☕️
⭐️Overall rating: 4/5:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the third book in this series and although its kind of a series it really has nothikg to do with the first two books other than this is about kris, farrah’s friend from study abroad, finding love. If you remember the end of the first book kris talked about despising her soon to be stepmom, but this book starts off with her conjuring a plan to get rid of her.
This beautiful man she meets, who also is an aspiring actor, would be perfect. She offers him a job of getting her soon to be stepmom to attempt to cheat on her dad with him. He only says yes if a kiss from Kris herself is added to that equation.
It’s such a cute and fun quick read that makes you breeze through it. Definitely a romcom that I like.

I recently dove into Ana Huang's 'If Love Had a Price,' and let me tell you, the premise alone had me hooked! The idea of a character intentionally hiring someone to be a 'homewrecker' is definitely an unexpected twist on your typical romance novel. When you hear the term 'homewrecker,' it usually brings to mind negative connotations, often describing someone who disrupts a relationship or family unit, often unknowingly or with malicious intent. But this book takes that concept and flips it on its head, making it a central, albeit morally gray, plot device. What I found most intriguing was how the story explores the meaning of a 'homewrecker' within the context of Kris's desperate plan. Is someone truly a 'homewrecker' if they're hired to play a role, especially when the goal is to expose someone else's true character? The beautiful man Kris meets, an aspiring actor, agrees to her scheme, but the situation quickly develops into something far more complex than just a simple job. This leads to a lot of internal conflict and external drama that makes for a truly engaging read. The beauty of this particular romcom, which I discovered is part of the exciting 'If Love' series by USA Today Bestselling Author Ana Huang, is how it navigates these tricky ethical waters. It's not just about the audacious plan; it’s about the relationships that form under these unusual circumstances. As the story unfolds, themes like 'opposites attract' really shine through. Kris, a rich heroine, and the actor, with his own ambitions, create a dynamic that defies initial expectations. The 'fake dating' trope gets a fresh spin because it's intertwined with this 'homewrecker for hire' scheme, leading to genuinely unexpected moments where feelings start to blur the lines of the original agreement. You also get elements of 'interracial romance' and the classic 'he falls first' trope, adding layers of depth and sweetness to a plot that starts out so scandalous. I really appreciated how the book kept me guessing. What begins as a seemingly scandalous setup evolves into a charming and fun read that questions what it truly means to be loyal, to find love in unexpected places, and to redefine family. If you're looking for a romcom that's a quick read but still packs a punch with its unique plot and heartfelt moments, I highly recommend picking up 'If Love Had a Price.' It’s a delightful journey that proves even the most unconventional beginnings can lead to the sweetest love stories.
