Her Yes Led to This Moment 💙
✨ “Let it be done unto me according to Thy word.” – Luke 1:38
Mary said yes… and it led her here.
To the foot of the Cross.
To holding her Son’s body in her arms.
To the deepest sorrow and the holiest love.
She didn’t say yes because it was easy.
She said yes because she trusted God—even when it broke her heart.
Every time I look at the Pietà, I remember:
Faith isn’t always soft.
Sometimes it’s heavy.
Sometimes it’s this.
💙 Mama Mary, teach me to say yes—especially when it’s hard.
Faith is a powerful journey that often requires us to embrace difficult choices, as exemplified by Mary's story. Life’s challenges may lead us to profound sorrow, yet, they also reveal immense love and strength. Reflecting on this, we can draw lessons from historical and contemporary examples of individuals who have trusted in a greater plan, even when faced with adversity. The Pietà embodies this struggle—a moment frozen in time, challenging us to consider how we respond to our trials. Many people of faith have shared stories of doubt turning into reassurance through prayer and community support. Engaging with local congregations or searching for online faith groups can provide a sense of belonging and encouragement when challenges arise. Embracing our struggles and learning from Mary’s example helps us to live out our faith authentically, reminding us that even in grief, we can find purpose and resilience. Together, let’s cultivate a spirit of acceptance and strength to say yes, especially in the hardest moments of our lives.
