Italy Church Etiquette ⛪️ AMA
My simple etiquette for Italian churches: cover shoulders, soften your voice, no flash, pause before photos, and step aside for anyone praying. I sit for a minute, make the Sign of the Cross, and light a candle when I can—turning “sightseeing” into a quiet encounter with God.
One clear note on Communion: at Catholic Mass, Holy Communion (the Eucharist) is for Catholics who are properly prepared. If you are not Catholic, please do not receive. You are warmly welcome to remain seated and pray with us in reverence.
Ask me anything about visiting respectfully—Mass as a traveler, receiving/not receiving, photo boundaries, or how I balance reverence with tourism. I’ll answer gently and honestly. ✨

This is super helpful! I always feel a bit unsure about church etiquette abroad. Thanks for the tips! 🙏
