PROPER LATERAL RAISE FORM
lateral raises is by far my favorite shoulder workout and iv seen the most progress when keeping this exercise consistent in my routine!
they can seem challenging at first but I promise you there not!!!!
start with your feet shoulder width apart with your dumbbells by your side. then when your raises your dumbbells think about raising the dumbbells to the corners of the room while keeping a slight bend in your elbow!
this tip really helped me so I hope it helps you🏋🏻♀️
Lateral raises are an excellent exercise for strengthening your shoulders and improving overall upper body strength. It's recommended to begin with lighter weights to master the technique before progressing. Make sure to keep your core engaged and maintain a neutral spine throughout the movement. As you lift your arms, visualize them moving towards the corners of the room, ensuring your elbows have a slight bend to avoid strain. Control the descent of the weights to maximize muscle engagement and prevent injury. Integrate this exercise into your shoulder workout routine at least 2-3 times per week for best results. Not only will you enhance your shoulder definition, but you'll also experience improved shoulder stability, which is beneficial in various sports and other physical activities. Experiment with different variations, such as seated lateral raises or resistance band exercises, to keep your workouts fresh and challenging. Don't forget to listen to your body; if you experience pain, reassess your form and adjust your weights accordingly.
