My Nonbinary Tav Named Aeris

It's so incredible how much freedom Baldur's Gate 3 gives us to truly make our characters our own, isn't it? When I was creating Aeris, my nonbinary Tav, I really leaned into all the customization options to reflect their personality and story. The game beautifully supports various identities, allowing players to choose pronouns and forge unique paths, which is fantastic for representation and helps everyone feel seen in Faerûn. This dedication to player choice is one of the many reasons BG3 stands out. For Aeris, I envisioned someone striking and mysterious, so I spent a good while in the character creator. It’s genuinely one of the best character creation systems out there! The green-streaked hair was a must, giving them a distinct, almost ethereal vibe that just clicked with their backstory. Pairing that with the dark facial markings and a subtle nose ring really pulled the whole look together, adding layers to their visual narrative. And finding that perfect ornate dark outfit? Chef's kiss! It makes them feel right at home in the fantastical cave environments you encounter, especially among those glowing, bioluminescent plants and trees. Seeing their sword hilt peek over their shoulder just adds to that adventurer aesthetic, hinting at the battles and journeys ahead. These small details really elevate the experience from just playing a game to truly embodying a character. This level of detail makes the game so much more immersive. It’s not just about the stats or the combat mechanics; it's profoundly about the character's journey and how they fit into Faerûn. Your Tav isn't just a 'default character' that serves as a blank slate; they're your character, impacting the world and its inhabitants in meaningful ways.
