Dude bit a woman… now she’s biting people??

This sounds insane, but I think a zombie outbreak just started in my town.

I went to Walmart this morning. People started screaming and running. Heard a dude bit a woman. Then later that same woman attacked people at the hospital.

Now the mayor’s asking everyone who was at the store to report it. Uhh nope. National Guard is here. Store and hospital are quarantined.

I grabbed water and supplies just in case. 2025 is wild. What if this isn’t just in my town?

Would you report to the authorities or keep quiet like I did? 👀

When I saw the National Guard rolling in and heard about the quarantine, my mind immediately raced beyond just the biting incident at Walmart. It wasn't just about a guy biting a woman; it was the domino effect, the woman attacking at the hospital, and the sheer panic that followed. It made me wonder: what if this isn't just a local anomaly? What if this is something much, much bigger? Beyond grabbing water, which was my first instinct, I started thinking about what else one truly needs in a sudden, indefinite lockdown. Food, of course, but also a first-aid kit stocked for more than just scrapes, a reliable way to communicate if power goes out (think solar chargers or hand-crank radios), and even some basic self-defense items. It’s hard not to let your imagination run wild when you hear about biting and quarantines – it immediately conjures images of apocalyptic scenarios, of pale, changed individuals. The thought that such a dramatic shift could occur so rapidly in a familiar place like a town center, where people just moments ago were going about their daily routines, is truly unsettling. It makes you realize how thin the veneer of normalcy can be. Then there's the dilemma the mayor posed: report or keep quiet? My initial reaction was to protect myself and stay out of it. But what are the long-term implications of that? If everyone holds back information, how can authorities get a handle on what's happening? It’s a terrifying moral tightrope. Living under quarantine, the practicalities are daunting. How do you manage food, waste, and even just boredom when confined? The stress of not knowing, of hearing conflicting rumors, could be worse than the physical threat itself. We often see staged zombie events or people dressed up for fun, but when it feels like a real possibility, the fear is palpable. This whole experience has made me rethink preparedness entirely, not just for myself, but for how a community can truly support each other when the unthinkable happens. It's a stark reminder that sometimes, the wildest scenarios aren't just for the big screen.
