~xoxo a mom who decided to follow her dreams and is about to hit 253k besties (so grateful for the mom friends I’ve met on here) 🥹💖✨
5 years ago I was filled with A LOT of fear and a LOT of doubt after quitting my full time job to become a SAHM again - but I took a HUGE leap of faith and refused to give up or lose hope.
My message to you is to JUST KEEP GOING. Ask for guidance. Ask for signs. Follow what feels like ease, not force… if it feels like an exciting challenge THAT is worth pursuing. If it feels like a DRAINING challenge? Let it go. Say no to it. Learn to navigate your internal GPS.
Bc one day I swear you will wake up and look around... and you did it. All of the days of doubt, pain, hard work and learning have amounted to more than your wildest dreams. You get to stay home with your baby’s and not worry how the bills are going to get paid. Your husband can take the weekend off without it feeling like a huge sacrifice. And listen, it might not work out exactly as you expect… but it WILL work out if you simply don’t give up and FOLLOW YOUR WHY 🫶
Taking a leap of faith, especially when it involves stepping away from a stable job to pursue your dreams or prioritize family, can be terrifying. But many who have taken this path share common advice: listen closely to your internal GPS. This means paying attention to what feels right and energizing, rather than what drains you emotionally or physically. It’s important to distinguish between healthy challenges that foster growth and toxic situations that deplete your spirit. For moms considering staying home or following a passion project, community support can be transformative. Connecting with like-minded friends, often online or through local groups, offers encouragement and practical advice. These connections help combat the loneliness or self-doubt that can arise during such transitions. Remember, setbacks are part of the journey and don’t mean failure. Instead, they offer opportunities to learn and refine your path. When you follow your why—the core reason motivating your decisions—you align your efforts with purpose, which fuels persistence. Moreover, achieving a balanced life where you can care for your family without constant financial worry is possible. It may require creativity, discipline, and patience, but many have done it by building flexible income streams or making strategic lifestyle changes. Most importantly, celebrating small victories along the way keeps motivation high. This mom’s story underscores a universal truth: even in moments filled with doubt, staying hopeful and moving forward can lead to a life richer than imagined. If you’re at a crossroads, consider this a heartfelt encouragement to trust the process and believe that, with resilience and faith, things will indeed work out better than you can even imagine.
