hope my husband doesn’t see this 😅 friday reset with me after my morning routine as a mom of 4
As a mom of four, managing time efficiently is always a challenge, but I’ve found that having a Friday reset routine really helps me transition from a hectic week to a more relaxed weekend. After my usual morning routine—a mix of getting the kids ready, breakfast prep, and a little self-care—I like to take some quiet moments to reflect and plan ahead. One tip I’ve picked up is to dedicate part of Friday afternoon to tidying up the house and setting up for the weekend. This includes simple tasks like sorting laundry, prepping meals in advance, and organizing everyone's schedules. It sets a positive tone for the days off and reduces stress. I also rely on journaling or jotting down quick notes about what worked well during the week and what didn’t, so I can improve my routines continually. It’s a small practice, but it makes a big difference in creating a sense of accomplishment and readiness. Of course, balancing everything with four kids requires flexibility. Sometimes plans shift, and that’s okay—I’ve learned to embrace imperfection and find joy in the little moments. Sharing these routines with fellow parents has been uplifting, and I hope this glimpse into my Friday reset inspires you to craft your own weekend recharge ritual!
i’m a stay at home WIFE… kids are out of the house - have their own families. but i here you… i was the same way and i’m super protective with my grandkids. i was happy to hear that you wanted a "date night" that's super important in a marriage! I make a date night at least twice a week... Whether it's going to the beach, watching a movie and/or going out to dinner. Grrrlll I clean a clean house! 😂
