[Authentic matcha and gelato "OBRA" from Uji, Kyoto appeared on 5 / 4 at eat-in following Namba 🍵✨]
We were invited to the reception of Shinsaibashi 2nd store following Namba store!
The location is about a 1-minute walk from Shinsaibashi Station, the grand opening is May 4, 2026 🗺
Unlike the Namba branch, which used to be the main takeout shop, the Shinsaibashi branch is available for eat-in. It is a calm inorganic space composed of wood on the ceiling, mortar-like walls and floors, wooden tables, etc., and there are also seats with outlets.
And the biggest highlight is that you can drink while watching the matcha being made in front of you from the counter seat - - This is a special time 😌
This time I got a total of 6 items!
The Purin Affogato (Plain Purin × Matcha Gelato) is a thick and large firm pudding topped with 100% matcha gelato from Kyoto Prefecture. The sweetness of the pudding and the deep bitterness of the matcha are exquisite balance 🍮
The pudding affogato (matcha pudding x vanilla gelato), which is a different combination, has the bitterness of matcha tea and the sweetness of vanilla, which is also delicious in a different direction.
Which one do you like... It's a choice that seems to have different tastes lol
Strawberry matcha latte has layers of strong matcha and gentle sweetness of strawberries, and if you drink it while mixing 🍓, you can enjoy the sweet and sour taste of matcha and strawberries, but the moderate astringency stands out.
Basque Cheese Cake (Plain / Green Tea)
The plain one has the richness of rich cream cheese and just the right amount of burnt flavor, while the matcha one has the beautiful green color and the flavor of matcha 🧀
What I felt through all the menus was the seriousness of matcha. You can choose from three types of matcha (celebration, Zuiun, Wano) by grade, so I think it s an irresistible cafe for matcha lovers 🍵

「OBRA 心斎橋店」って実際どう？と思って行ってみた感想を、メニュー選びのポイント中心に追記します（写真でよく見る“点てたばかりの抹茶”が楽しめるのがこのお店の良さでした）。 まず、心斎橋店はイートインできるのが大きな違い。カウンター席に座ると、目の前で抹茶を点てているところが見られて、待ち時間までちょっとした体験になります。抹茶を活かしたドリンクやスイーツが多いので、「とりあえず抹茶カフェ行きたい」よりも「今日はちゃんと抹茶を飲みたい」日に刺さるタイプ。 メニューで迷いやすいのが宇治抹茶ラテのグレード（祝・瑞雲・和乃）。私の体感だと、抹茶の香りと苦みをしっかり楽しみたい人は上のグレードほど満足度が高め。甘さは抹茶の濃さに引っ張られるので、甘党なら和乃＋スイーツ、抹茶好きなら祝をそのまま抹茶ラテにしてじっくり飲む、が相性よかったです。 スイーツは「プリンアフォガード」が看板っぽい印象。プレーンプリン×抹茶ジェラートは、甘さと渋みのバランスが分かりやすくて初回向き。逆に抹茶プリン×バニラは“抹茶のほろ苦さ”が前に出るので、抹茶を強めに感じたい人向けでした。どちらもジェラートがたーっぷり使った系で、満足感高め。 写真映えなら苺抹茶ラテ。層がきれいで、混ぜる前後で味が変わるのが楽しいです。抹茶×フルーツの組み合わせが好きなら頼みやすい一杯。 混雑を避けたいなら、心斎橋駅近くでもオープン直後や休日は人が増えやすいので、平日の早め〜昼過ぎが比較的落ち着いて座れました。席にコンセントがあるのも地味に助かるポイント。 最後に、難波の抹茶カフェを探している人にも参考として、OBRAは“テイクアウトでさっと”より“点てたて抹茶＋贅沢なスイーツを店内でゆっくり”が向いている印象。目的に合わせて、ドリンクは抹茶ラテ（グレード選択）／甘いものはプリンアフォガードorバスクチーズ、の組み合わせで外しにくいと思います。
