Starting over… again.
I’m moving back in with my mom after living on my own for years. It’s breaking my heart. This apartment was my safe place my own rules, my own space, finally feeling like an adult.
But after a car accident I caused earlier this year, the debt hit me hard. Legal fees, repairs, low sales at work… it’s all piled up. I can barely cover minimum payments. So now, I’m giving up my apartment to pay off debt.
I know it’s the right thing to do, but it hurts. My mom’s place is small no room for my things, no privacy, and I’ll be sleeping on the couch. I feel like I failed. Like I had everything together and just lost it all in one mistake.
I’m trying to see this as a reset instead of a punishment, but right now it just feels heavy. I just hope someday I can look back and be proud that I kept going.

You haven’t failed. You’re growing. You’re learning to handle your own affairs. You’ll never forget this time. Get out as fast as you can. And be nice to your mom. 🍋
