The Great Chai Auspicious Temple, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, is one of the most historically important and beautiful temples, famous as the Victory Memorial from the Battle of His Majesty Shiva the Great War.
Brief History ✨
The temple was built in the early Ayutthaya period (1900) during the reign of King Thong, formerly known as the "Glass Forest Temple" or "Chao Tai Temple." Later, during the victory of King Shiva the Great over Burma, he reigned and built a larger pagoda that became the symbol of the temple to the present day.

1️⃣ Chai Auspicious Pagoda: The tallest bell-shaped pagoda in Ayutthaya (62.10 meters), built to honor King Shiva the Great. Inside, there is a walkway to the top for a view and a risky coin toss in the middle of the pagoda.
2️ ⃣ The Temple of the King: Enshrined the large, white Buddha Sakon, clean. It is the spot where Buddhists come to ask for blessings and cloak themselves in bedding.

ถ้าใครกำลังหาวัดในอยุธยาที่ “ไปครั้งเดียวคุ้ม” วัดใหญ่ชัยมงคลคือหนึ่งในตัวเลือกที่เราแนะนำเลยค่ะ จุดเด่นจริงๆ คือพระเจดีย์ชัยมงคลที่สูงมาก มองเห็นแต่ไกล แถมรอบๆ ยังมีแถวพระพุทธรูปปางมารวิชัยเรียงรายตามกำแพงอิฐโบราณ บรรยากาศดีและถ่ายรูปสวยทุกมุม โดยเฉพาะช่วงเช้าฟ้าใส สีท้องฟ้าตัดกับสีอิฐและองค์เจดีย์คือสวยมาก ทริคการเที่ยวแบบไม่พลาดไฮไลท์ (เดินตามนี้ได้เลย) 1) เริ่มที่ลานด้านหน้า เดินเก็บรูปแถวพระพุทธรูปปางมารวิชัยก่อน ช่วงเช้าคนยังไม่เยอะ จะได้ภาพโล่งๆ และได้มุมกำแพงอิฐโบราณเป็นฉากหลัง 2) ต่อด้วยพระเจดีย์ชัยมงคล แนะนำเผื่อเวลาเดินขึ้น-ลงสักหน่อย ถ้าอากาศร้อนให้พกน้ำติดมือไปด้วย ขึ้นไปด้านบนจะได้เห็นมุมสูงของวัดและภาพรวมแบบเต็มตา 3) แวะวิหารพระนอน คนชอบมาขอพรและทำบุญห่มผ้า ถ้าอยากไหว้แบบสบายๆ แนะนำมาเช้าหรือเลี่ยงช่วงเที่ยง 4) เข้าพระอุโบสถไปกราบพระพุทธชัยมงคล ด้านในค่อนข้างสงบ เหมาะกับการตั้งใจไหว้พระจริงๆ 5) ปิดท้ายที่ศาลสมเด็จพระนเรศวรมหาราช หลายคนมาขอพรเรื่องความสำเร็จ งาน การเลื่อนตำแหน่ง เราว่าบรรยากาศเป็นระเบียบและเดินง่าย การแต่งตัว/มารยาทในวัด (กันพลาดเวลาไป) - ใส่เสื้อมีแขน กางเกง/กระโปรงยาวคลุมเข่า จะเดินได้ทั่ววัดแบบไม่กังวล - ถ่ายรูปได้ แต่ควรหลีกเลี่ยงการยืนพิงองค์พระ/ปีนป่ายซากอิฐ และลดเสียงในโซนวิหาร-อุโบสถ การเดินทางและเวลาเที่ยวให้คุ้ม วัดเปิด 08:00–17:00 น. ถ้าตั้งใจมาถ่ายรูป “เจดีย์สูงอยุธยา” กับแนวพระพุทธรูปเรียงราย แนะนำเริ่มเช้าหน่อย แสงนุ่ม คนไม่เยอะ และเดินได้ไม่เหนื่อยมาก ส่วนที่จอดรถค่อนข้างกว้าง ขับรถมาเองสะดวกค่ะ ถ้าใครกำลังลิสต์ “วัดจังหวัดพระนครศรีอยุธยา” ที่ควรเริ่มก่อน วัดใหญ่ชัยมงคลเหมาะมาก ทั้งได้ไหว้พระ ได้ชมโบราณสถาน และได้รูปสวยๆ กลับไปแบบครบในที่เดียว
