The Next Four Years

finally a post that im not rlly sad typing.

im actually happy this time.

recently i got accepted into ksu for spring 2025

im so stoked. it finally feels like my life is moving again.

i also figure out what I want to focus on for the next 4 years.

i was struggling with what to focus on in the technology/ computer science world

at first i thought i wanted to just develop games but when i said it out loud i always had this feeling like it wouldnt fully fulfill me. because it would not be financially stable. as yall could tell from my previous post stability would be a luxury for me.

so then i pick up an interest in cybersecurity so for the past year and a half i kept going around saying "im going to school for cybersecurity". yet again i got this feeling that i wouldnt be fully fulfilled. im a really creative person and i didnt think cybersecurity could be my vessel.

ksu allows me to concentrate in a field and minor in smth else. so i planned it out that I could graduate with a major in computer science with a concentration of cyber and network security and a minor in game design & development.

i know that maybe sounds like a lot. and people say "dont be a jack of all trades". but i feel REALLY good about this.

im so excited to get started at ksu. im soo rdy to grind out.

im tired of being lost

but im happy i found smth to look forward to

... Read moreAs I embark on this new chapter at KSU, I'm diving deep into the intersection of technology and creativity. My decision to major in computer science with a concentration in cyber and network security, paired with a minor in game design, reflects both my analytical skills and artistic inclinations. Cybersecurity is a rapidly growing field, offering vast opportunities for tech students passionate about protecting digital assets. With the rise of cyber threats, the demand for skilled professionals is at an all-time high. This allows me not only to secure a stable career but also to engage in innovative game development, blending design aesthetics with technical prowess. Choosing this unique academic path can sometimes draw skepticism. Many are cautioned against being a 'jack of all trades,' yet I believe that integrating multiple disciplines enhances creativity and problem-solving. By combining cybersecurity with game design, I am positioning myself as a versatile professional ready to tackle the complexities of modern technology. This dual focus fosters a holistic understanding of how digital environments operate, preparing me for challenges that neither discipline could address alone. I am genuinely excited about the growth, learning experiences, and friendships awaiting me at KSU. I'm ready to dive into my studies, explore collaborations, and share my journey with fellow students who are equally passionate about technology and innovation. Together, we can create a thriving community that encourages creativity and technical excellence. This next phase holds immense potential, and I am eager to embrace every moment!
