... Read moreStepping up to the Paranormal Cirque tent was an experience in itself, truly setting the stage for what was to come! From a distance, you can't miss that iconic large red and white circus tent, especially at night when it's dramatically illuminated by those eerie red lights. It truly sets the mood before you even walk in. The glowing red signs for 'PARANORMAL CIRQUE' and 'CIRQUE ITALIA' at the entrance are just fantastic and draw you right into the spooky atmosphere. It felt so immersive, like I was walking into another world, completely different from a regular big top. This wasn't the brightly lit, family-friendly tent you'd expect; this one screams 'adults only' from the moment you see it. Inside, the performers are absolutely incredible, and I was especially captivated by their elaborate costumes and, yes, the masks! Many of the artists donned these really striking, often creepy or mysterious masks that added so much to the 'paranormal' theme. They weren't just simple disguises; they were works of art that enhanced the characters' mystique and made their acts even more gripping. You could tell so much thought went into every detail, from the makeup to these intricate masks, making each character feel uniquely unsettling and captivating. It really added to the overall theatricality and spooky vibe of the show, making it feel less like a traditional circus and more like a dark, fantastical performance. Beyond the main show, don't miss the pre-show haunted house! My friend and I made sure to get there early, and it was a smart move. The line can get long, but it’s definitely worth it for that extra dose of adrenaline before the main event. It's a quick walk-through, but filled with some great jump scares and unsettling scenes that perfectly prime you for the intensity of the cirque. And seriously, heed the advice: this is NOT for children. The themes are mature, the humor can be dark, and some of the acts are genuinely unsettling. It's an adult playground of thrills, so leave the little ones at home. One more crucial tip: bring cash! Almost everything inside, from snacks to souvenirs, is cash only. I saw a few people scrambling for an ATM, so save yourself the hassle and come prepared. Trust me, you'll want some popcorn and a drink to go with the show!
