Over the last year, Thomas has got to see this Team Member at Universal Studios Hollywood perform as Jazzy multiple times. Jazzy is part of Street Sweep who are janitors that will dance. If you have never got to check it out, it’s definitely entertaining to watch.
Thomas enjoys watching them and I’ve shared several videos of him watching them dance. You will see him smiling, laughing, clapping, and happy stimming during their show.
At the end of the show, they will bring guests out to dance with them to close out the show. Whenever Thomas is there, she will ask him to go with her and he will. Sometimes it may take him awhile to get out of his stroller, but he eventually gets out and goes with her. You will see how happy he is when he watches her dance in front of him and he will try to copy her movements.
If you have seen the videos of them together, you can see how happy he is around her. He obviously feels comfortable and safe around her and you can see her genuine joy when she sees him.
As a parent with a special needs child, all you ever hope for is for your child to be included and be surrounded by people you know they will be safe around. She is definitely one of those people. Thomas only gets to see the good in the world because of people like her.
She, along with many Team Members that work there, are the reason we have been going to Universal Studios again the last year after being away for many years.
Besides seeing her as Jazzy, he also got to interact with her on a couple of other occasions. She always does amazing with him and he was also happy with her during those occasions as well.
