You guys, I'm still pinching myself! Getting that first Good Molecules PR package was such an incredible moment, and it truly feels like a milestone on my content creator journey. For those of you wondering, 'what even is a PR package?' or 'how do I get one?', let me share a bit about what I've learned and what this means! Essentially, a PR package (or "pr items," as some of you search for!) is when a brand sends you free products to try, review, and potentially share with your audience. It's their way of generating buzz and getting their products into the hands of people who can genuinely appreciate and talk about them. For creators like us, it's not just about the freebies – it's validation. It means a brand, in my case, a brand I genuinely admire like Good Molecules, sees value in my content and wants to work with me. It’s also an amazing opportunity to discover new products and provide authentic reviews to my community. So, how does one even begin to get on a 'good molecules pr list' or any 'influencer pr list' for that matter? From my experience and what I've observed, it really boils down to a few key things: First, consistency and quality are non-negotiable. Brands want to see that you're regularly creating engaging content within your niche. For me, focusing on skincare and sharing my honest routines helped. Make sure your photos and videos are clear, well-lit, and showcase products effectively. Good Molecules, for instance, focuses on effective ingredients, so showing how their products fit into a routine or discussing ingredients can be very appealing. Second, engagement is key. It's not just about follower count; it's about how much your audience interacts with your content. Respond to comments, ask questions, and build a community. Brands look at engagement rates because it shows your audience trusts and values your opinion. Third, proactively engage with brands you love. I’ve always genuinely used and talked about Good Molecules because I love their products. Tag them, use their hashtags, and interact with their social media posts. This puts you on their radar organically. Sometimes, creating specific content around their products can even get you noticed directly – think dedicated reviews or 'empties' posts. Fourth, have a clear niche and a strong 'why'. Why are you creating content? What unique perspective do you bring? Sharing my skincare journey with products that work for my skin is important, and I think brands appreciate seeing that authentic voice and representation. Finally, don't be afraid to put yourself out there. Once you have a decent portfolio of content, you can create a simple media kit (even a one-page PDF!) outlining your stats, audience demographics, and content pillars. Some creators reach out directly to brands' PR teams, while others get discovered. My journey with Good Molecules felt organic, built on genuine appreciation for their amazing products. Receiving this PR PACKAGE has definitely motivated me even more. It’s not just about the products; it’s about the connection with a brand and the opportunity to share even more valuable insights with you all. This is just the beginning of my #influencerjourney, and I hope by sharing my experience, it helps those of you aspiring to similar goals. Keep creating, keep engaging, and keep being you!
