Why I Carry A Small Journal EVERYWHERE
I carry a small journal with me everywhere! Here’s why you should too.
DEEPER👇🏽
I was diagnosed with anxiety in 2019. My thoughts would often pile up in my head causing stress, anger, frustration, and depression.
My therapist encouraged me to journal. So I wrote. A lot. I wrote down every feeling that I didn’t quite understand and didn’t want to say aloud. But sometimes, I forgot to write some things. So I started carrying a small “TO-GO” journal, and it has helped me so much!

Journaling is a powerful tool that can help individuals express emotions, track personal growth, and stimulate creativity. For many, like myself, it serves as an outlet for unspoken thoughts, helping to manage feelings of anxiety and depression. Carrying a small journal allows for quick notations of spontaneous ideas or feelings that you might forget later. This simple act can lead to clarity in thinking and a better understanding of oneself. Moreover, journaling can be a form of escapism during lonely times. Just jotting down what makes you feel sad, angry, or frustrated helps in processing those emotions privately without external pressures. It creates a safe space for relentless thoughts to flow and be organized. Additionally, it can serve as a motivational tool by allowing you to revisit past logs to assess how much you've grown or changed. Incorporating daily journaling has been linked to improvements in mental health by providing a reflective outlet where you can record accomplishments, outline goals, and express gratitude. It's a habit that can lead to increased productivity and mindfulness. Overall, maintaining a small journal not only enhances emotional well-being but also fosters personal development.
