🏘️ The town of Harpers Ferry is small but full of history. I would suggest getting there early if you want to find parking in town. There is a bus service just outside of town but the last bus leaves town at 6:30 pm.

• Located in Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, spanning West Virginia, Maryland, and Virginia .

• Roundtrip distance is typically 4.5 miles (7.2 km) via the quickest route to the overlook; the Stone Fort Loop adds about 2 extra miles, making the full loop ~6.5 miles .

• Elevation gain ranges from ~1,100 to 1,800 ft (990–1,788 ft), with the longer loop being more strenuous  .

• Estimated duration: 3–4 hours for the standard hike, up to ~4.6 hours with the loop  .
