Processing your own chickens
This was our first year. We bought 15 and lost 2. They were about 9 weeks old and we processed them today. A lot easier than I thought even without the fancy equipment.
Grab a chicken
Tie it up by its feet to hang
Cut the head off & let it sit till it’s dead (it will flap around awhile)
Dip it in a bit pot of boiling water
The feathers will then pull right off
Cut it open and take the insides out
Clean it off with water
We bought some shrink bags from Amazon I’ll link in comments. Dip them in the hot water per instructions and they shrink to the chicken. Done ✅ freeze & enjoy

Also be sure to cut the legs at the knuckles so you don’t have bones poking out like we did.
