At first, it was tough. I hosted a launch party for my new business and only my closest friend showed up. Earnings were tiny, and the MLM venture I tried didn’t pan out. But I kept showing up consistently, learning to embrace the discomfort and doubt that came with putting my story and business out into the world. From that place of vulnerability, I slowly started to transform my mindset and my approach to entrepreneurship. I shifted from seeking perfection and approval to focusing on authentic connections and solving real problems. This mindset shift opened doors to creating not one, but two thriving businesses—a creative agency and an ecommerce store—each generating six figures. My experience taught me that being willing to appear 'cringey' or imperfect is often the first step toward real growth. Facing personal challenges too, including a heart-wrenching miscarriage, I found motivation in building freedom and a legacy for my family. The genuine sharing of my story, even when raw and messy, resonated with my audience and helped me build trust and community online. For anyone struggling with self-doubt or afraid of what others might think, I encourage you to just start and keep showing up. Success often comes not from flawless beginnings, but from perseverance, authenticity, and the courage to be seen as you are. Whether launching an ecommerce venture, freelancing, or starting any creative business, allowing yourself to be vulnerable can lead to powerful breakthroughs and sustained success. Remember, the courage to be 'cringey' is not about embarrassment, but about owning your unique journey and using it as your strength to connect, create, and thrive in the world of online business.
