ถ้าใครเสิร์ชหา Thai Palace Restaurant เพราะอยากได้ “ร้านอาหารไทยแท้ๆ ในเกาลูนซิตี้ ฮ่องกง” แบบรสจัดถึงใจ เราว่าร้านนี้ตอบโจทย์มาก โดยเฉพาะวันที่คิดถึงข้าวกะเพรา ต้มยำ หรือส้มตำแบบบ้านเรา และอยากได้มื้อที่กินแล้วหายอยากจริงๆ สิ่งที่เราชอบคือเมนูมีให้เลือกเยอะกว่าที่คิด นอกจากเมนูยอดฮิตอย่างต้มยำกุ้งน้ำข้น/ผัดไทย/กะเพรา ยังมีเมนูที่เห็นคนสั่งบ่อยและหน้าตาดีมาก เช่น ผักบุ้งไฟแดงที่ผัดมาสีเขียวสวย ซอสเข้าเนื้อ กินกับข้าวคือดี หรือใครอยากได้อะไรฟีลกับแกล้มก็มีหอยแครงลวกมากับน้ำจิ้มซีฟู้ด เผ็ดเปรี้ยวสะใจ อีกเมนูที่ดูโดดเด่นคือข้าวผัดสับปะรดเสิร์ฟมาในลูกสับปะรดจริง หอมหวานกลมกล่อม มีเครื่องทะเลและเม็ดมะม่วงหิมพานต์ ทำให้รสไม่เลี่ยน บรรยากาศร้านเป็นแบบเรียบง่าย นั่งสบาย ไม่ต้องทางการ เหมาะกับมากินกับเพื่อนหรือครอบครัว โต๊ะจัดมาเป็นระเบียบ มีชาม ตะเกียบ แก้วน้ำพร้อม (ฟีลร้านไทยในต่างประเทศที่คุ้นๆ) หน้าร้านจะเป็นป้ายเด่น หาง่าย เดินผ่านแล้วสะดุดตา ทริคการสั่งสำหรับคนกินเผ็ด: ตอนสั่งลองบอกระดับเผ็ดชัดๆ ไปเลย เช่น “เผ็ดไทย” หรือ “เผ็ดน้อย” เพราะบางเมนูอย่างส้มตำไทย–ปลาร้ากับต้มยำ สามารถเผ็ดได้จริง ถ้ามากัน 2 คน เราว่าเลือกกับข้าว 2 อย่าง + ข้าว 1-2 ที่ก็อิ่มพอดี เพราะหลายจานให้ปริมาณค่อนข้างใหญ่ อีกอย่างที่ช่วยให้สบายใจคือพนักงานสื่อสารง่าย บางคนพูดไทยได้ ทำให้สั่งเมนูยากๆ อย่างปลาร้า/ระดับเผ็ด/ขอเครื่องเคียงเพิ่มได้ไม่งง การเดินทาง: โซนเกาลูนซิตี้ยังไม่มี MTR ตรง แนะนำลง Kowloon Tong หรือ Lok Fu แล้วต่อแท็กซี่/รถเมล์ประมาณ 5–10 นาที จะสะดวกสุด โดยเฉพาะถ้าไปช่วงดึก สรุปสำหรับเรา Thai Palace Restaurant เป็นตัวเลือกที่เหมาะมากเวลาหิวกลางคืน อยากกินอาหารไทยรสจัดแบบต้นตำรับในฮ่องกง จานใหญ่ คุ้ม และมีเมนูให้เลือกครบจนเลือกยากเลย
