🇻🇳 Aroma Nha Trang Boutique Hotel – Honest Review
We stayed at Aroma Nha Trang Boutique Hotel for two nights during our trip to Nha Trang. Overall, I’d say this is a hotel with an unbeatable location for the price, making it a great choice for travelers looking for convenience without spending too much.
One thing that might confuse first-time visitors is that the hotel shares its ground floor with Shirley Spa. From the outside, it looks more like a massage center than a hotel. The reception is located further inside the building, where the staff warmly welcomed us. Since we arrived before the standard 2 PM check-in time, they kindly stored our luggage so we could start exploring the city.
A small tip if you’re staying here: the elevator on the right seems noticeably faster than the one on the left.
The room itself was a reasonable size and generally reflected what we paid for. However, it is beginning to show its age. The bathroom glass door no longer closes completely, and the bathroom uses transparent glass with only a frosted strip across the middle. While this wasn’t an issue for us as a couple, it may feel a little uncomfortable if you’re sharing the room with friends or family members of different genders.
Cleanliness was acceptable overall, but there were areas that clearly needed more attention. The corners hidden behind furniture had accumulated quite a bit of dust and dirt, suggesting they aren’t cleaned regularly. The bathroom layout was also a little awkward. One of the structural pillars protrudes beside the toilet, leaving limited legroom and making it slightly uncomfortable to sit normally.
The shower was probably our biggest disappointment. Water pressure was weak throughout our stay, although the bathroom faucet seemed perfectly normal. My guess is that the shower head simply needs cleaning or replacing after years of use.
There were also a few housekeeping oversights. On our first day, the room was missing shampoo, body wash, hand soap, and facial tissues. The absence of facial tissues seems fairly common in many hotels around Nha Trang, but the missing toiletries were likely an oversight that could have been avoided with a more thorough room inspection before guests arrive.
Our room curtains also weren’t functioning properly. While the hotel did send someone to repair them, the maintenance took place early on our final morning, waking us up unexpectedly. Unless guests specifically request urgent repairs, I think it’s better to schedule maintenance after checkout to avoid disturbing their rest.
That said, there were several positives worth highlighting. The hotel provides four pillows, something usually found in higher-rated hotels, which made sleeping much more comfortable. The location is excellent, with easy access to the beach, restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and many of Nha Trang’s attractions.
We also tried Shirley Spa, located on the ground floor. The massages were enjoyable, and the therapists were professional. Their prices are higher than some nearby spas, but after a little friendly negotiation, we managed to get a small discount, making the experience feel much better value.
Overall, Aroma Nha Trang Boutique Hotel offers excellent value thanks to its prime location and friendly staff, but there are several small areas that would significantly improve the guest experience. Paying closer attention to hidden corners during housekeeping, checking shower heads and water pressure regularly, ensuring all toiletries are replenished before check-in, and scheduling non-urgent maintenance after guests have checked out would make a noticeable difference.
Would I stay here again? Yes, mainly because of the fantastic location and reasonable pricing. It’s not a luxury hotel, but with a few thoughtful improvements, it has the potential to become one of the best value-for-money boutique hotels in central Nha Trang.
