Travel Nha Trang Like A Local 2.0 Day 4 🇻🇳 | Mind-Blowing Food, Sand Flies
We picked up the pace a little on Day 4 because the Khánh Hòa Sea Festival was in full swing that evening, with spectacular fireworks and live concerts lined up for the night.
Our morning started with a quick trip to Laundry Express 06, where we dropped off our clothes. Amazingly, everything was washed, dried, and neatly folded in just two hours—perfect for travellers constantly on the move.
Then came one of the biggest food highlights of the day: the Mantis Prawn Seafood Thick Tapioca Noodles at Bánh Canh Tôm TÃt Thiên Ân. It was absolutely mind-blowing! The rich, flavourful broth paired beautifully with the fresh mantis prawns, making this a dish I would happily return for.
Next, we headed to Chốn Cafe to sample their impressive coffee and signature desserts. We tried the cold brew black coffee, matcha latte, citrus ice cream, and longan ice cream. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented, although the portions were a little on the small side.
With the weather getting warmer, we decided to cool down with a haircut at Nhat Huy Hair Salon nearby. The service was excellent, although the prices were surprisingly steep compared to what we were used to in Vietnam.
Later, we made our way quite far out to Marina Beach Club. Unfortunately, this turned into the low point of our day. The combination of the warm weather and relatively stagnant water in the enclosed bay seemed to attract sand flies everywhere, and we were getting bitten from head to toe. We had ordered quite a spread of food, but it was almost impossible to enjoy it. To make matters worse, the beer arrived warm—definitely not what we needed in that heat!
Thankfully, bad moments never last forever. We quickly left and headed to Lẩu Bò Bà Triệu to meet our friend, and what came next completely turned the evening around.
We had what was easily one of the best beef hotpots of the trip. With ice-cold beer, some local fruit-infused alcohol, and incredibly tender beef, the meal was exactly what we needed after a rough afternoon. The beef tongue in particular was absolutely delicious and paired beautifully with our drinks.
And just like that, the day ended on a high note. After dinner, we made it back just in time to soak in the energy of the Khánh Hòa Sea Festival, complete with spectacular fireworks and lively concerts.
From laundry and incredible local food to a disastrous beach club experience and an unforgettable hotpot dinner, Day 4 was certainly a day of highs and lows—but somehow, it all came together perfectly in the end. 🇻🇳✨
