Tireddd of my own bull$hit✨
Writing this out on the treadmill right now because I almost skipped another easy workout, “just because…”
30 minutes of walking - that’s it. That’s all I needed to do and I almost had myself sitting on the couch scrolling without getting ANY intentional movement in today. 😅😵💫
So decided to hop on the treadmill in my lounge clothes and socks just to get this done - and yeah I can still scroll on my phone while I walk 🤩👍🏻
Being disciplined is hard for me but when I get up and get it done I feel SOO much better and just gotta keep reminding myself that and keep pushing to hit these goals I have set 💪🏼✨
Many of us struggle with the internal battle of wanting to stay active but feeling overwhelmed by the effort it takes to start. I can deeply relate to that feeling of being "tired of my own bullshit," where excuses creep in and simple workouts feel like mountains to climb. What I’ve found helpful is setting extremely manageable goals—like committing to just 30 minutes of walking. It’s amazing how this small action prevents the dreaded all-or-nothing mindset. Walking on the treadmill in lounge clothes and socks, while still scrolling on my phone, was a game changer. It reminded me that movement doesn’t need to be perfect or exhausting to be beneficial. This approach helped me push past my mental blocks and tap into a positive cycle of accomplishment and motivation. Consistency is key, and the feeling of discipline often follows the action, not the other way around. Reminding yourself of how much better you feel once you get moving can build momentum toward those bigger fitness goals. For anyone battling workout resistance, embracing low-pressure, flexible exercise routines can be a powerful strategy to break free from inactivity and the “tired of my own bullshit” mindset.
