3-D printing a high resolution scan
This is a follow up to the post I made last week where I scanned the SurfPrep 5" Electric Ray sander with the Einstar Vega 3D scanner. I had a chance to print the 3D scan with my Bambu Lab P1S 3D printer. I used some translucent gray PETG filament for the first time. I am impressed with the print since I only cropped the dust hose and electrical cord out of the model. The rest is from the base scan with no modifications. You can see that even the very thin paddle switch on the sander was picked up by the Einstar Vega scanner. Next I will do the same with the SurfPrep 3X4 sander.
