Scanning a wood carving
Tonight I am scanning a 51 year old carving of a bear eating a fish that my grandfather made from a piece of wood he found in Alaska. I wanted to see if I could scan it and make copies of it with 3D printing and carving on the CNC.
Check out the detail of the scan once I pull it into the Einstar Starvision software.
I used the highest resolution mode since this carving was so small. I also acquired the texture of the wood so I would have the color of the wood in the model.
