SawStop Revolution

I am finally trying out the SawStop Revolution miter gauge. Once I dialed it in, I thought I would try something a little different like cutting the pieces for a pentagon.

So 360 degrees over 5 miters divided by 2 = 36 degrees.

I changed the miter gauge adjustment to 1 degree increments and then rotated it to 36 degrees and made my cuts.

All I can say is this thing is really impressing me with how fast you can cut multiple angle frames like this. Nice job SawStop.

One thing that stood out is the easy calibration feature—dialing in accuracy with increments as small as 1 degree means I can tackle complex shapes, such as pentagons, without spending extra time guessing or fine-tuning repeatedly. For instance, knowing that a regular pentagon has angles related by dividing 360 degrees by 5 and then halving it to 36 degrees lets me set the miter gauge quickly for consistent results. What really impressed me was how swiftly I was able to cut multiple angled pieces for frames once the gauge was set correctly. The Revolution helps simplify the usually painstaking task of creating polygonal frames by offering repeatable and reliable angle settings. This level of precision eliminates much of the measuring guesswork and makes projects more enjoyable. Another benefit is the sturdy build and smooth rotation mechanism of the miter gauge, which instills confidence during each cut. For hobbyists and professionals alike, tools that combine reliability and user-friendly adjustments can really speed up workflow and improve craftsmanship quality. If you’re looking to invest in a reliable miter gauge capable of delivering fast, accurate cuts for various woodworking projects—including polygonal and multi-angle frames—the SawStop Revolution is certainly worthy of consideration. From cutting router frames to crafting intricate woodworking joints, repeatable accuracy can make all the difference in your project’s outcome.
