Baby Gyro Air G‑200H
I forgot to show you this new gyro dust extractor from Harvey. It is the Baby Gyro Air G‑200H. 110” static, 165 CFM. The technology in this unit allows it to achieve high static pressure (up to 110 inches of water) and an airflow of 165 CFM with a 1½-inch hose. And this is done without filters. The Baby Gyro can also operate as a vacuum or a blower. In the video, David from #ashandemberwoodshop and I were checking the Baby out. I really thought this was a great machine. I need to make a "little" space for one.
The Baby Gyro Air G-200H represents a significant advancement in dust extraction technology, especially benefiting woodworkers who seek efficient, space-saving solutions. Achieving up to 110 inches of water static pressure and 165 CFM airflow through a narrow 1½-inch hose, it allows for powerful dust collection without the bulk of traditional filter systems. This not only reduces maintenance efforts but also helps maintain consistent suction performance over time. Another key feature is its dual capability to operate both as a vacuum and a blower. This makes it an adaptable tool in the workshop, useful not only for dust extraction but also for clearing sawdust or debris from work areas. The compact size of the Baby Gyro means it requires minimal installation space, a benefit for small to medium woodshops or those looking to optimize their workspace. Given the increasing importance of maintaining clean and safe air quality in work environments, tools like the Baby Gyro Air G-200H contribute positively by capturing fine dust particles generated especially by bandsaws and other woodworking tools. Combining this technology with proper shop practices can significantly reduce airborne dust hazards, improving the health and comfort of woodworkers. The unit showcased at AWFS drew attention for delivering such high performance without reliance on filters, marking it as an innovative solution in dust processing technology. If you’re considering upgrading your dust extraction system or fitting out a new workshop, the Baby Gyro Air G-200H is worth evaluating for its performance, versatility, and user-friendly design.
