Einstar 2 3D scanner
Here is the next scanning video for the Einstar 2 3D scanner. This scanner can run wirelessly or wired to your computer. I am scanning this little Einstar mascot figure. Here I am scanning in IR mode with full color scanning as well.
I am also using the EXStar Hub software that comes with the scanner. It has editing capabilities and allows you to edit and export the scanned model. Check out the 3D model on the screen. It looks (and is) exactly like what I scanned.

After spending some quality time with my new EINSTAR 2 3D scanner, I wanted to share a more in-depth look at my experience beyond just the initial scan. Getting started was surprisingly straightforward. The unboxing felt premium, and connecting it, whether wired or wirelessly, was a breeze. I truly appreciate the flexibility of the wireless option – it made moving around my workspace and getting different angles so much easier without getting tangled in cables. My first few scans, like the little mascot figure you saw, really impressed me. The EINSTAR 2 handles intricate details quite well, especially in IR mode, and the full-color scanning adds a fantastic layer of realism to the digital model. I’ve tried scanning larger, simpler objects too, and it maintains a good level of precision. Of course, like with any 3D scanner, lighting and surface reflectivity play a big role, but I found the EINSTAR 2 to be quite forgiving. For shiny objects, a quick spray of matte scanning spray made a huge difference. The EXStar Hub software is truly the brain behind the operation, and I found it to be quite intuitive. It’s not just for capturing scans; the editing features for cleaning up meshes, filling holes, and simplifying models are robust enough for most users. Being able to export in various formats means it's ready for whatever 3D printing or design software I want to use next. I particularly liked the real-time feedback during scanning, which helped me adjust my technique on the fly to get better data. It definitely smoothed out the learning curve for me. What I really loved about the EINSTAR 2 is its balance of professional features and user-friendliness. It feels accessible enough for a serious hobbyist or small business owner, yet powerful enough to produce high-quality results. The portability with the wireless mode is a huge plus for me, as I often work on different projects in various locations. If I had to pick a minor con, it would be that very dark or transparent objects still pose a challenge, but that’s pretty standard across the board for this technology. For anyone considering getting into 3D scanning or upgrading their current setup, I honestly think the EINSTAR 2 is a fantastic contender. It’s perfect for scanning objects for 3D printing, creating digital archives, or even for creative design projects. My personal tip for new users would be to take your time with your first few scans, experiment with different lighting conditions, and don't be afraid to use the software's editing tools – they can really elevate your final model. Overall, I’m thrilled with the capabilities of this scanner and the possibilities it opens up for my making projects.
