Carveco CNC sign
I used Carveco CNC software with my Onefinity CNC to carve out the Onefinity Logo and the Redline CNC logo. I just added the Redline CNC spindle Controller to my Onefinity.
This carve uses a 1/4” roughing bit, a 90 degree v-carve bit for the letters, and a 1/8” downcutting bit to carve out the surface of the logos.
When working with CNC machines like the Onefinity combined with Carveco CNC software, selecting the right tools and settings is essential for achieving clean, professional results. In my own experience carving logos, I found that using a 1/4” roughing bit initially to remove the bulk of the material made the process much faster and prepared the surface nicely for detailing. Switching to a 90-degree V-carve bit allowed me to achieve crisp and sharp edges on the letters, enhancing the overall definition of the logos. For the finer surface areas, I used a 1/8” downcutting bit to carve the surface without causing tear-out or rough edges, especially important with hardwoods or layered materials. Another important upgrade was adding a Redline CNC spindle controller to the Onefinity machine. This vastly improved spindle speed control and consistency, which is critical for detailed work and extending bit life. The combination of precise software control and optimized hardware results in smoother finishes and higher accuracy. If you're planning to carve detailed logos or signs, consider these bit sizes and bit types to optimize your machining time and finish quality. Additionally, experimenting with spindle speed and feed rates tailored to your specific material will help push your CNC to its limits while maintaining quality. Make sure to test on scrap material before the final run to dial in the best parameters. Overall, integrating Carveco CNC software with hardware enhancements like the Redline CNC spindle controller on a Onefinity CNC provides a flexible and powerful setup for sign making and logo carving projects, unlocking infinite possibilities for customization and precision.
