Club volleyball

One thing I've noticed firsthand is how often players, like my daughter, end up ordering food or snacks, as if their back pockets have a money tree! This highlights a common but overlooked area of spending during tournaments—meal and snack expenses. To manage these costs better, I started preparing a tournament budget that covers not only entry fees and travel but also daily spending like food and other necessities. Packing healthy snacks and drinks can reduce the urge to buy expensive tournament food repeatedly. It’s also helpful to plan meals ahead with other parents or teammates to find economical options. Beyond food, club volleyball requires investing in gear, travel, and sometimes coaching clinics. Joining a club means you may face expenses that fluctuate throughout the season. To keep finances manageable, track all expenses carefully, discuss budgets with your kids so they understand limits, and seek ways to save without sacrificing their experience. More than just money management, these experiences offer valuable life lessons in planning, responsibility, and teamwork—skills as important as athletic training. Supporting your child’s passion for volleyball while keeping budgeting realistic can make the journey enjoyable for the whole family.
