Keeping your knees bent during leg swings targets your core more effectively and protects your lower back by preventing hyperextension. The key is to kick up at the top by pushing through your heels, which activates the glute muscles and further supports spinal alignment. One valuable tip is to hold your legs at the hardest point of the stretch — where you feel the tension but no pain — and then control the motion as you slowly lower your legs back down. This controlled movement engages your core muscles, improves stability, and enhances flexibility. Consistency is vital: performing these stretches regularly can help relieve back stiffness, improve posture, and reduce discomfort caused by prolonged sitting or poor ergonomics. Don't rush the movements; focusing on form and breathing will amplify the benefits. In summary, this back and core stretch is a practical addition to any fitness or wellness regimen.
