Looks can only do so much🤞
From my own fitness journey, I've realized that focusing solely on how you look can be misleading and sometimes even discouraging. Many people fall into the trap of equating fitness with appearance, but true fitness encompasses strength, endurance, and overall well-being. One thing that has helped me significantly is stepping away from body checking routines, like constantly weighing myself or scrutinizing muscle definition in the mirror. This practice, as the OCR in this article suggests, 'barely matters to being fit.' Instead, I focus on how my clothes fit, my energy levels, and how much better I feel mentally and physically. This shift has reduced anxiety and improved my motivation. Additionally, fitness isn't just about avoiding injury or looking good; it's about feeling capable and healthy in everyday activities. Whether it's playing with friends, carrying groceries, or just sleeping better at night, these factors matter more than surface-level appearances. By embracing this broader view of fitness, I found a more sustainable and enjoyable path to staying active and healthy, beyond narrowly defined body aesthetics. Remember, looks can only do so much—prioritize how you feel and what your body can do.
