Looks can only do so much🤞
I used to think that looking fit was the ultimate goal of my workouts — having toned muscles and a slim figure seemed to mean I was healthy and strong. But over time, I realized that appearance can be misleading. Fitness is about so much more than just looks; it's about how your body functions and feels day to day. For example, I stopped playing body-contact sports temporarily and noticed that my physical endurance and energy levels became much more important than how my muscles looked. Being fit means being able to move freely without pain, having good cardiovascular health, and maintaining flexibility. These qualities affect your quality of life far beyond what a mirror reflects. I also learned that consistent movement improves mental health and reduces stress. Focusing on fitness as a holistic concept helped me stay motivated during periods when my appearance didn’t change much. That’s because being fit supports your entire well-being, not just your looks. So if you're working out, remember that "looking fit" is only part of the equation. Strive for strength, endurance, and health — because that barely matters to being fit in the truest sense.
