Spicy tuna crispy rice easy dinner

The easiest crispy rice & spicy tuna recipe to make at home! You can also swap for raw tuna — canned just makes for a quick (& affordable) option.

Sushi Rice:

— 2 cups sushi rice

— 2 1/4 cups water

— 1/4 cup rice vinegar

— 4 tsps sugar

— 1 tsp salt

Spicy tuna:

— 1-2 tbs mayo

— 1-2 tbs sriracha

— 1 tbs soy sauce or coconut aminos

— 1 can tuna

— avocado

How-to:

1. Start with your sushi rice. Rinse your rice well for 1-2 minutes under cold water. Add rice and water to a large pot over medium high heat. Cook until it’s just starting to simmer, lower the heat to medium low, cover, and cook for 15-17 more minutes.

2. While the rice is cooking, heat sugar and salt in vinegar until it just starts to simmer and the sugar dissolves.

3. When the rice is done, gently fold in the vinegar mixture.

4. Press the rice into a dish, and chill for a few hours in the fridge or 30 minutes in the freezer.

5. After chilling, slice into squares, and air fry for about 10 minutes at 400˚ until crispy.

Made these honey glazed salmon bites and they came out so good. Crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, and the glaze actually sticks to the salmon instead of sliding off. It’s sweet, a little savory, and really simple to throw together. I had it over rice with green onion and it just worked
