Marquette, MI, Pit-Stops
My partner and I recently went on a trip to Marquette, Michigan, and I wanted to highlight a few of the places we went. I highly recommend going if you don’t want to feel like a tourist in a beautiful place!
1. Marquette Harbor Lighthouse ⭐️Overall rating: 4/5
This was cool to see and learn about the history. We walked here after eating downtown and then walked the shoreline afterwards.
2. Sugarloaf Mountain ⭐️Overall rating: 4/5
More people were around on this hike but it was a beautiful sight for an easy hike!
3. Wetmore Landing ⭐️Overall rating: 5/5
This is one of our favorite places to go on ANY afternoon. Beautiful rocks and waters. The waves are always beautiful, very easy trails and plenty of good spots for a picnic or for rock searching.
4. Hogback Mountain ⭐️Overall rating: 4/5
WHEW! Definitely a more challenging hike but the view at the top of the mountain pictured is gorgeous. We actually didn’t see anyone up there for the hour we were sunning on top.
5. Dead River Falls ⭐️Overall rating: 5/5
We were really surprised by how far the falls kept going. We packed a picnic lunch and were able to sit and eat right next to the waterfalls.
