2 Days in CPH 🇩🇰
Everything I did and would recommend to you too 💌
Spending two days in Copenhagen offers a wonderful balance of exploring iconic landmarks and indulging in the city's vibrant food scene. When I visited, I started my journey on Strøget, one of Europe's longest pedestrian streets, filled with shops, cafes, and street performances that set a lively mood for the trip. King's Square and the adjacent King's Garden provide serene spots to relax and soak in the local atmosphere, with Rosenborg Castle situated nearby, showcasing royal history and beautiful gardens. Christiania is a unique, self-proclaimed autonomous neighborhood that offers colorful street art and a distinct vibe—it’s worth a stroll to get a feel of Copenhagen’s alternative culture. Nyhavn, with its famous brightly colored houses along the canal, is picture-perfect, especially around sunset. Dining here at spots like Nyhavn 41 and Cafe Vivaldi allows you to enjoy traditional Danish cuisine against a scenic backdrop. For food lovers, the Coffee Collective is a must-visit for exceptional Danish coffee, while Andersen & Maillard delights with fresh pastries. Don’t miss trying a classic Copenhagen hotdog from local street vendors for an authentic quick bite. Additionally, taking a Secret Food Tour can uncover hidden gems and local favorites beyond the typical tourist path. Including stops at Amalienborg Palace, the Round Tower, and sampling treats at Hans bakery rounds out the experience nicely. Each destination is easily accessible, making it convenient to cover a lot even in just two days. My personal tip: wear comfortable shoes and remain open to spontaneous discoveries—you’ll find that Copenhagen’s charm truly lies in its mix of historic sites, cozy eateries, and welcoming locals.
