What is your “What If?”
What is your version of “flying?”
Maybe it’s time to spread your wings! 😉
Many of us have a 'What If?' moment that holds us back—whether it's fear of failure, self-doubt, or overthinking the potential negative outcomes. I’ve experienced this personally, feeling hesitant about taking chances because I worried about falling short or disappointing myself and others. One way I've learned to cope with these fears is by reimagining what 'flying' means for me—not just literally, but metaphorically. For some, flying could be starting a new career, pursuing a passion project, or stepping out of a comfort zone. For example, the courage to send a message to someone we've admired from afar or the determination to try a new skill despite feeling unqualified. These small acts of bravery are flights too. The key is not to be paralyzed by worrying about what might go wrong. Instead, focus on what you stand to gain by trying. The feeling of the wind on your face, the exhilaration of rising higher than you thought possible—that’s the reward of embracing the 'What If?' mindset. I remember feeling stuck, riddled with self-doubt, telling myself I wasn’t smart or capable enough to achieve my dreams. But encouragement from friends and family made all the difference. Their belief helped me push past my limits and take action. This support system is crucial when fears seem overwhelming. If you resonate with these feelings—whether it’s about pursuing a career dream like becoming a pilot or simply taking the first step toward your own version of flying—remember that every great journey begins with a single leap. Failure might happen, but in falling, you learn to rise even stronger. And in trying, you gain experiences and stories worth telling. So ask yourself: What is your version of flying? What dream are you ready to chase despite the fear? Sometimes the greatest victories come from daring to try, not avoiding risk. Spread your wings and see where the wind takes you—you might surprise yourself with how far you can go.
