... Read moreFebruary is not just about the weather; it's a time for fresh starts, and what better way to embrace change than through reading? This month, I dove into an eclectic mix of genres, and here are some highlights: 1. **Sky's End by Marc J. Gregson** - A thrilling blend of survival and sci-fi, reminiscent of 'Hunger Games' combined with elements from 'Edge of Tomorrow' and 'Ender's Game'. Although it started slow, the gripping action kept me turning pages. 2. **The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston** - A modern romance with supernatural twists. Despite its beautiful writing, it didn't quite resonate with me. The mix of heartfelt moments and cringe made it a challenging read. 3. **The Tea Dragon Society by Katie O'Neill** - This delightful graphic novel charmed me with its diversity and enchanting artwork. A touching story worth revisiting, making me eager to explore the series further. 4. **Moon Soul by Nathaniel Luscombe** - An insightful cozy sci-fi novella that captured the essence of burnout and self-discovery. This read was soothing and relatable, with engaging world-building. 5. **Ace of Spades by Faridah Àbíke-Íyímídé** - A must-read YA thriller that presents powerful themes of racism and homophobia. The emotional intensity and suspense kept me glued, leading to an unforgettable journey with its characters. 6. **A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking by T. Kingfisher** - A humorous yet profound narrative that opens up discussions about power and authority through the lens of a young wizard. Overall, I read **6 books** this month, covering **1,128 pages** and spending over **36 hours** listening to audiobooks. With an average rating of **4.63**, my reading experience has been overwhelmingly positive. I'm excited to dive into more stories in March and look forward to sharing more insights with our Lemon8 community!
