Before we dive into the recipes, let's talk about the foundation: the shrimp itself! Getting perfectly cooked shrimp is key to any buttered seafood dish. Always start with good quality shrimp – fresh is best, but frozen works great if thawed properly. I usually thaw mine overnight in the fridge or quickly under cold running water. And please, don't overcook them! Shrimp cook incredibly fast, usually just 2-3 minutes per side until they turn pink and opaque.
