How I maintain my breastmilk supply!!🍼
Alfalfa and fennel seed - I went without these for a week and noticed a drop after day two!!
Coconut water definitely shows an increase! I just mix it with something! If you can do it alone more power to you!!🙌🏼
WATER!!!! You have to stay hydrated!! Definitely noticed a decrease if I don’t drink enough!
In the beginning I would pump, even if it was for only 5 mins after baby ate. It also gives you a stash in case you ever need it!
Breastfeeding/pumping is an absolute love hate relationship! I know majority of my following is moms and I learned everything I know from TikTok! Hopefully I can help someone else like those TikTok’s helped me!!

Maintaining a healthy breastmilk supply can be challenging, but incorporating certain natural supplements and habits into your routine makes a noticeable difference. From my personal journey, I found that alfalfa and fennel seed supplements are game changers. These herbal supplements, known for their galactagogue properties, helped me sustain my milk production. When I skipped them for even just a few days, my supply visibly dropped. Hydration is another key factor. Drinking plenty of water consistently is essential; dehydration can quickly reduce milk output. I also discovered that drinking coconut water not only keeps me hydrated but seems to enhance my milk supply. Mixing it with other beverages makes it easier to consume, but if you can enjoy it straight, that’s even better! Early on, I made pumping a part of my routine—even just for five minutes after feeding. This practice helped stimulate my supply and build a small backup stash, which proved helpful on busy days or when my baby was fussy. From my experience and the knowledge shared in breastfeeding communities, it’s clear that breastfeeding and pumping can feel like a rollercoaster. Rest assured, finding what works best for your body often comes through trial, error, and learning from other moms’ experiences. Herbal supplements like alfalfa (650 mg) and fennel seed capsules, which are vegan and vegetarian friendly, combined with adequate calcium and magnesium intake for bone health, also supported my overall wellbeing during this intense period. If you’re navigating exclusive breastfeeding or exclusively pumping, staying consistent with hydration, supplements, and pumping routines can help maintain a steady milk supply. Remember, every mom’s body responds differently, so patience and self-care are just as important as any supplement or method. Joining supportive communities or following educational resources on platforms like TikTok can provide additional support and encouragement throughout your breastfeeding journey.
